Now introduces SIGMA 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art as the ultimate ultraviolet zoom. This lens offers, with minimal distortion, outstanding F2.8 brightness across the entire zoom range and delivers maximum image quality at every focal length and shooting distance. For these reasons, it is the ultimate wide-angle zoom with high brightness.
Outstanding Art Image Quality
14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art is designed to match cameras with 50 megapixels + and offer top-level optical performance throughout the zoom range, it contains three FLD lens elements, three SLD lens elements and three aspherical lens elements, including a large diameter aspheric element. Efficient distribution of these high-refractive index lens elements further increases the corrective effect with FLD and SLD elements. This optical system minimizes transverse chromatic aberration and other optical aberrations, resulting in outstanding image quality with high resolution,
The first element of the optical system is a large diameter aspheric lens. Optimizing the power distribution of this and the other lens elements minimizes the distortion to 1% or less. As a result, light points appear as dots without dots from the center of the image to the edge and the light volume is also abundant everywhere in the frame. In addition, simulations performed from the design stage and forward helped minimize glare and ghost images. The combination of these technologies ensures excellent ultraviolet performance.
