Meet the Vortex24, a dynamic RRGBBW 2x3 lighting system tailored for those seeking expansive coverage and powerful output. Building on the foundation of the Vortex8, the Vortex24 amplifies output threefold, while its larger form factor reduces the need for multiple units and simplifies rigging, especially on Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) or Condors.
Designed with 24 directional pixel zones, the Vortex24 allows for complex lighting effects like replicating the dynamics of fire or motion, with seamless dimming across intensities all while maintaining colour accuracy, free from drift.
The Vortex24's efficient design draws 1950W, making it compatible with standard circuits and featuring a 'House Power' mode for 15A circuits. The integration of a built-in ballast means easier storage and transport, allowing for streamlined packing in lighting carts and trucks, optimising your workflow on the go. Network setup is a breeze with dual Ethernet ports and a Gigabit switch, supporting single-cable runs and efficient daisy-chaining of units.
Featuring a front latch filter system for fast changes of diffusers and accessories, the Vortex24 also ships with a medium flat diffuser for instant light softening — no extra purchases necessary.
24 directional pixel zones for nuanced lighting effects, allowing complex simulations like fire and motion with smooth dimming across all intensities, all while maintaining colour accuracy and preventing drift.
Draws 1950W power, suitable for standard circuits and includes a ‘House Power’ setting for 15A circuit operation.
Equipped with dual Ethernet ports with a built-in Gigabit switch, enabling single-cable runs and daisy-chaining of units for efficient light array management and simpler control with protocols like sACN.
The Vortex24 enables swift swaps of diffusers and accessories with a dual front-mount rails for easy modifier adjustments and includes a medium flat diffuser for immediate light softening, enhancing setup versatility without the need for extra purchases.
Combining years of expertise, the Vortex Series have been redesigned with a new software architecture, supporting industry standard features, protocols and connectivity mediums making the future evolution of CreamOS very exciting. The new feature set has been wrapped into a new user interface, enhancing the user experience.
The Creamsource Colour Management System (CCMS) unifies Vortex and Micro fixtures with a unique LED mix, meticulous factory calibration, and sophisticated software algorithms done in native CIE xy colour space. This advanced system ensures consistent, high-quality light output across devices, maintains colour accuracy at all dimming levels, and compensates for temperature changes.
The RRGBBW (red+deep red, green, blue+royal blue, white) LED configuration enriches red saturation, enhances warm whites, allows for deeper and brighter blues, and improves the quality of cool whites – outperforming traditional RGBW setups.
All-in-One Control. With CreamOS V3.0’s multilingual web interface, you can find, configure, and manage all your Vortex fixtures from any browser. Make quick adjustments and troubleshoot without breaking a sweat.
With FrameSync, the Vortex Series can be triggered from an external source, such as a sync generator (e.g. Ambient Lockit ACN-CL), or the genlock output of a cinema camera, to ensure that it is synchronised with the camera shutter. This is especially useful when using effects such as strobe, where a lack of synchronisation between the camera and the lights can cause issues like frame tearing and flash banding.
This feature alleviates the problem that most digital CMOS cameras can have with any flashing or strobing light source. It can also be used for frame-accurate strobing for advanced special effects, for frame rates up to 5,000fps.
